Troopers nab drug suspects in Forsyth Township

FORSYTH TOWNSHIP, MI--   Two men are jailed on drug charges following a traffic stop in Forsyth 

Township.

Troopers from the Negaunee Post stopped the vehicle Sunday around 2:45 a.m. on M-35 and Wagon Wheel Lane.  They seized money and several types of illegal narcotics. 

The suspects were lodged in the Marquette County Jail.  Their names have not been released, pending arraignment.

Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team, the 8th District Hometown Security Team, and a K9 handler and his dog, Blitz.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
