Marquette Police arrest man for trying to steal lawn mower

MARQUETTE, MI--   A Marquette man was arrested Sunday morning for trying to steal a riding lawn mower.

City Police were dispatched at 2:30 a.m. to the Sears on O’Dovero Drive on a report of suspicious activity.  Upon arrival they located a suspect attempting to steal the mower. 

Brad Morris, 35, was lodged in the Marquette County Jail for larceny—$1,000 or more but less than $20,000.  The charge is a felony punishable by up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine or three times the value of the property stolen.  

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
