Hit-and-run driver sought in Ishpeming

ISHPEMING, MI--   Ishpeming Police are asking for the public’s help in finding the driver of a hit-and-run vehicle.  

The accident happened Wednesday around 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of Lakeshore and Hematite.  The suspect vehicle was westbound on Hematite when it ran a stop sign and hit a vehicle driven by a 62-year-old Ishpeming man headed south on Lakeshore. 

The suspect vehicle didn’t stop and was last seen heading west on Greenwood Street.  It’s described as a 2000-2007 gray Ford Taurus sedan.  It will have front-end damage, as it left behind its driver-side headlight and front bumper. 

Anyone with information regarding the vehicle is asked to call Ishpeming Police at 486-4416.
