Ishpeming Township burglary suspect caught

ISHPEMING TOWNSHIP, MI--   Marquette County Sheriff’s deputies have an Ishpeming Township break-in suspect in in custody. 

Thursday around 10:20 p.m. deputies responded to a report of a breaking-and-entering in progress on Balsam Lane. The suspect ran from the residence but was caught, arrested, and lodged at the Marquette County Jail on charges of second-degree home invasion and possession of burglary tools.

Deputies were assisted by Michigan State Police and Ishpeming City Police. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
