Four Ontonagon County suspects arrested on meth-related charges

IRONWOOD, MI--   A 35-year-old Ontonagon County man was arrested by UPSET last week for distributing meth.

After a five-month-long investigation the suspect was arrested Thursday in Ironwood for delivery of meth and maintaining a drug house. Detectives executed a search warrant at the suspect’s cabin in Ontonagon County and seized firearms, stolen property, and crystal meth.

He remains lodged in the Gogebic County Jail.

UPSET and troopers from the Wakefield Post arrested three other suspects believed to be connected to the drug trafficking ring. Harvey Reaver, 37, Melissa Reaver, 38, and Jennifer Smith, 29—all of Ontonagon County—were arrested and arraigned Friday on delivery of meth charges.

Additional arrests are pending.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
