Ishpeming Police arrest suspects in unarmed robbery

ISHPEMING, MI--   Two suspects in an unarmed robbery were arrested in Ishpeming Wednesday. 

City Police say the incident happened the afternoon of April 26 outside of Mama Mia’s. The victim said she was waiting for the restaurant to open when she was pushed to the ground and her purse was grabbed. The strap started strangling her so the victim unclipped and released it. She said one of the suspects also kicked her in the stomach.

The victim said she knew and was able to identify her attackers.

The Marquette County Prosecutor’s Office authorized felony warrants for unarmed robbery for both suspects, who remain lodged in the Marquette County Jail.

Anyone who may have witnessed the accident is asked to Ishpeming Police at 486-4416.
