Charges issued in Gladstone traffic crash

ESCANABA, MI--   A driver involved in a serious Gladstone accident last year has been arrested.

The crash happened December 19 on US-2/41 near Michigan Avenue.

A pickup truck driven by Audrey Hutchinson of Garden hit a sedan driven by Hannah Delaire of Gladstone head-on. Both drivers were injured.

Hutchinson was arrested Thursday and charged with operating with a high body alcohol content causing serious injury, with a prior conviction and reckless driving causing serious impairment of a body function. She faces up to 15 years in prison.

Hannah Delaire continues to receive medical treatment for serious injuries in Green Bay. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
