Three arrested on drug charges following Delta County traffic stop

DELTA COUNTY, MI--   Three Wisconsin residents have been arrested on drug and weapons charges in Delta County.

Monday around 3:35 a.m. a sheriff’s deputy stopped a vehicle in the Bayview area for a traffic infraction. K-9 Jet was requested at the scene to conduct an exterior sniff of the vehicle.

Deputies located meth and a loaded handgun next to the driver. The Green Bay man was arrested for possession with intent to deliver meth and carrying a concealed weapon.

Deputies and troopers from the Gladstone Post then went to a campground in Ford River Township. They arrested a Wisconsin man for possession with intent to deliver meth and a Wisconsin woman for possession of meth and possession of heroin.

Additional charges are pending.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
