Iron Mountain man arrested for illegal involvement with minors

KINGSFORD, MI--   An Iron Mountain man is in custody for engaging in illegal activity with minor children.

WLUC-TV reports Scott Grubb, 46, was arrested August 13 by Kingsford Public Safety. He’s charged with 2nd-degree home invasion, three counts of using a computer to commit a crime, and three counts of capturing or distributing pictures of unclothed minors.

Officials say Grubb was involved with minor children between July and November of last year. His digital devices and online accounts are being investigated.

More victims are expected to come forward.

Dickinson County Prosecutor Lisa Richards and District Judge Julie LaCost have recused themselves from the case due to conflict of interest. Marquette Prosecutor Matt Wiese and District Judge Karl Weber will conduct hearings via videoconferencing.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
