Arrests made in Gogebic County home invasion case

MARENISCO TOWNSHIP, MI--   Authorities have arrested two people in connection with a Marenisco Township home invasion and robbery last month.

The Gogebic County Sheriff’s Office says on December 18 armed suspects broke into a house on East Shore Road. They tied up the homeowner and stole money and guns.

Investigation led deputies to Wisconsin. They’ve been working with police in the New London area in tracking and surveilling the suspects.

Gogebic County Prosecutor Nick Jacobs issued arrest warrants for a 47-year-old man and 41-year-old woman. They are lodged in the Waupaca County Jail pending extradition to Michigan.

The investigation continues.

The New London Police Department, Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office, Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office, Appleton Police Department, and the Waupaca County District Attorney’s Office assisted in the case.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
