IRON MOUNTAIN, MI-- A 16-year-old girl has been shot in Iron Mountain.
City Police were dispatched just before noon Thursday to a home on the 400 block of West Brown Street. They found the victim had been shot in the abdomen.
The girl was taken to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital, then transferred to a hospital in Green Bay.
Officers took a 15-year-old boy into custody. He’s being held at the Bay Pines Detention Center pending further court action.
The Iron Mountain Fire Department assisted at the scene.
No further information will be released at this time.
