Officers lock down Gwinn school after shooting

GWINN, MI--   Gwinn High School was locked down Tuesday following a complaint of an aggravated assault nearby.

Forsyth Township Police responded to the assault complaint shortly after noon. They say a woman was shot on East Stephenson Avenue. As a precaution the high school—which was in close proximity—was put on soft lockdown.

The lockdown was lifted around 2:15 p.m.

Officers aren’t able to release much information as the incident is an ongoing investigation. They say there was no immediate danger to the community.

The condition of the woman is unknown. Further details will be reported as they become available.
