IRON MOUNTAIN, MI-- A man in the custody of the Michigan Department of Corrections has been charged with additional felonies related to child pornography.
The Iron Mountain Police Department has arrested Marc Gauthier, 52, following the issuance of a warrant by Dickinson County Prosecutor Lisa Richards. He’s already in prison for previous unrelated convictions from 2016.
Gauthier is now charged with five counts of possession of child sexually abusive material and five counts of using a computer to commit a crime. He was also charged with being a habitual offender – fourth offense.
Gauthier was arraigned in 95-B District Court and returned to the custody of the MDOC.
The investigation stems from an incident that occurred in September of 2016 at a local Iron Mountain motel.
