Man runs over another man with car over debt

MENOMINEE, MI--   A Menominee Township man has been arrested for allegedly intentionally running over another man with his car.

WFRV-TV reports Ryan Philipps, 23, was arguing with Devon Barley, 23, over a $140 debt on Friday. Witnesses say Philipps was in his Honda Pilot SUV when he left the driveway he was in, drove onto the front lawn of another home and ran over Barley.

Barley remains in a Green Bay hospital in intensive care for multiple serious injuries.

Philipps is lodged in the Menominee County Jail on a $250,000 cash or surety bond. He was booked on charges of attempted murder and assault with intent to murder.

The incident remains under investigation.
