Iron River Police arrest man who attacked another with a knife

IRON RIVER, MI--   An Iron River man was arrested following a stabbing at a city gas station Monday.

WLUC-TV says officers were dispatched to the gas station around 7:45 a.m. They say the suspect in the apparently random attack punctured and lacerated the victim’s face. He also stabbed the victim in the abdomen, but the wounds were only superficial.

Officers were able to identify the suspect through security footage. He was arrested at his home shortly afterward and lodged in the Iron County Jail.

Police say the victim did not know his attacker.

The Caspian Police Department and Iron County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the case.
