IRONWOOD, MI-- The Ironwood Public Safety Department is investigating a home invasion on Poplar Street Friday.
Around 9 a.m. the homeowner called 911 to report someone was breaking into the house. The man discovered a male subject downstairs. The suspect was believed to have a weapon.
After a short confrontation with the homeowner the suspect fled the scene.
The incident is believed to be isolated and remains under investigation. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Ironwood Public Safety
