PENTLAND TOWNSHIP, MI--   Michigan State Police are looking for a suspect after someone reported a shot fired from a vehicle in Luce County.

Troopers were informed Saturday around 6 p.m. of the incident, which happened on M-117 near M-28 in Pentland Township. Someone fired a firearm—possibly a rifle—from inside a stationary vehicle into the woods.

The vehicle is described as a black, four-door, 2010-to-present Chevy Silverado. All four windows are tinted. The vehicle has no license plate, damage to the tailgate, shiny paint on the rear, and a Chevrolet symbol on the grill.

The driver is described as a white male in his late 30s to early 40s. He has sandy blond hair and was not wearing a hat or glasses.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the Sault Ste. Marie Post at 906-632-2217. Anonymous tips can be entered on the MSP Mobile App under “submit a tip,” or can be reported to Crime Stoppers at 855-906-8477.
