IRONWOOD, MI-- Ironwood Public Safety officers are investigating a stabbing in the city.
Tuesday at about 11 p.m. police were dispatched to 424 West Cloverland Drive. They found a man who was on the ground and bleeding heavily. Initial investigation revealed he’d been stabbed multiple times.
The victim was taken to Aspirus Grandview Ironwood Hospital for treatment.
Witnesses say the suspect left the scene prior to officers’ arrival. Police from nearby agencies were given information about a possible suspect vehicle and it was stopped just west of Ironwood in Iron County, Wisconsin. The suspect was arrested and lodged in the Iron County Sheriff’s Department to await extradition and charges.
The incident remains under investigation.
