Chippewa County police looking for fugitive

Chippewa County Sheriff's Office

SAULT STE. MARIE, MI--   The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a Kincheloe man who cut his tether and fled the area.

Patrick McCrory, 47, was placed on the tether earlier this month on multiple charges, some for meth. Just after 1 p.m. Monday McCrory cut his tether near Bay Road and M-48 and is now on the run.

He’s believed to be driving a red pickup with a wooden box on the back. Officials think the truck has a stolen Michigan license plate, number CXX518.

McCrory is 5’10” and weighs 230 pounds.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call 911.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
