Two stabbed in Ishpeming

ISHPEMING, MI--   The Ishpeming Police Department is investigating an incident in which two men were stabbed Wednesday.

Just before 8 a.m. officers were dispatched to Canda Manor Apartments on Empire Street. They found a 19-year-old Champion man had been stabbed in the leg.

A suspect in the incident fled the scene before officers arrived. As they searched for the subject they were notified by UPHS-Bell that a man had gone to the emergency department with four stab wounds. The 28-year-old Gwinn man had apparently also been stabbed in the apartment.

Both men were transferred to UPHS-Marquette for treatment.

The incident remains under investigation.
