Bomb threat called in to DCH

IRON MOUNTAIN, MI--   Dickinson County Healthcare was closed for a few hours after someone called in a bomb threat Monday night.

Around 8:40 p.m. Iron Mountain Police and Fire departments were dispatched to the hospital on Stephenson Avenue. Officers were assisted by the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office, Michigan State Police, Kingsford Public Safety, and the Marquette Police Department with an explosive-detecting K-9 unit.

Police conducted a thorough search of the building but no bomb was found. Officers cleared the scene around 2 a.m.

Anyone with information regarding the threat is asked to call the Iron Mountain Police Department at 906-774-1234.

The incident remains under investigation.
