Ironwood duo arrested for delivering drugs near school, park

IRONWOOD, MI--   Two Ironwood residents are jailed, following a drug bust by the Gogebic Iron Area Narcotics Team.

On June 25 GIANT executed a search warrant at a residence across from the Ironwood High School baseball field and near a children’s park. Dean Raymond, 34, and Brynann Smith, 33, were taken into custody. Both are charged with possession with intent to deliver meth, conspiracy to deliver meth, possession of meth within 1,000 feet of school property, delivery/possession in a park, and maintaining a drug house.

Smith is also charged with possession of a Schedule II prescription medication and use of meth.

Both suspects remain lodged in the Gogebic County

 Jail on $50,000 bonds.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
