Man charged for making Escanaba school threat

ESCANABA, MI— A man accused of making a threat to Escanaba High School has been charged in the incident.

Escanaba Public Safety investigated the threat, which was made last Friday morning. Officers arrested Zane Bukowski, 31, of Escanaba in connection with the incident.

Delta County Central Dispatch said he had called 911 and made a similar threat.

Bukowski is charged with false report or threat of terrorism. He remains lodged in the Delta County Jail on a $200,000 bond.

A probable cause conference is set for November 4th and a preliminary exam for December 2nd.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
