IRON RIVER, MI— An Iron River man faces felony charges after he was arrested for sexually assaulting a minor.
Albert Shumate, 46, was arrested Saturday after the victim’s mother told the Iron River Police Department her daughter had been assaulted.
Shumate was arraigned on two counts of 1st-degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of 2nd-degree CSC. A preliminary exam is set for January 3rd.
Shumate remains lodged in the Iron County Jail on a $150,000 cash bond.
