UPDATE: Houghton County Jail inmate leaves work crew in Calumet

UPDATE: Inmate Keith Allen Harri has been located and taken in to custody. Thank you to the MSP Calumet Post and K-9, Michigan DNR, Laurium Village Police Department and Superior Search and Rescue.

CALUMET, MI— The Houghton County Sheriff's Office is looking for an inmate that walked away from a work crew Monday.

Keith Allen Harri, 34, was working in the Village of Calumet around 2 p.m. when he left the scene. He was serving one year in jail for assault and battery/simple assault.

Harri is described as a 5’09”, 160-pound white male with brown hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue and gray jacket, blue jeans, black winter boots, a black winter hat and dark-rimmed glasses.

Anyone with information regarding Harri’s whereabouts is asked to call the Houghton County Sheriff's Office at 906-482-0055. He’s not considered a danger to the public; however, deputies say if Harri is spotted, do not approach and call 911.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
