HOUGHTON, MI— A Wisconsin man was arrested in Houghton on a drug charge Tuesday.
The Houghton County Sheriff's Office says deputies conducted a traffic stop in the city around midnight. After a brief investigation, officers discovered and seized a large quantity of crystal meth and evidence of narcotics distribution. A 40-year-old Wisconsin man was arrested for possession with intent to deliver meth and driving while license suspended.
The suspect remains lodged in the Houghton County Jail.
The Houghton City Police Department, Hancock City Police Department, and the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team-West assisted in the investigation.
