DELTA COUNTY, MI— The Delta County Sheriff's Office is looking for victims of a man who solicited photos and videos of young girls for money.

Joshua Ecklid, 31, of Gladstone apparently contacted the girls through Instagram, Snapchat and other social media. The account used on Instagram was "roberte1993" and the account used on Snapchat was "darknordor." Ecklid would friend the girls, then ask them to send him a video or picture of themselves in exchange for money.

Police believe that pattern had been going on for at least three years and there may be additional victims.

Ecklid has been arrested and arraigned on charges of child sexually abusive material, two counts of possession of child sexually abusive material, and using a computer to commit a crime. He remains lodged in the Delta County Jail on a $250,000 bond.

The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who has had similar contact, especially with the social accounts described and/or with Ecklid himself, to notify deputies at 906-786-3633, extension 357.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
