Hessel man arrested for first-degree criminal sexual conduct

ST. IGNACE, MI— A Mackinac County man is jailed on criminal sexual conduct charges.

On December 9, Michigan State Police from the Alpena Post arrested Timothy Headley, 59, of Hessel. The arrest followed an investigation handled by troopers from the St. Ignace Post.

Headley was arraigned December 12 on first-degree criminal sexual conduct (victim under 13) and two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct (multiple variables).

He remains lodged in the Mackinac County Jail without bond.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
