Escanaba traffic stop results in drug arrests

ESCANABA, MI— Two people were arrested on drug charges, following a traffic stop in Escanaba Thursday.

Around 2 a.m., Escanaba Public Safety officers stopped a vehicle on the 700 block of North Lincoln Road. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of about 1 ounce of meth.

The female driver—identified as Brittney Schneider—and her male passenger were lodged at the Delta County Correctional Facility. Schneider is charged with possession with intent to deliver meth and maintaining a drug vehicle. The man, who has yet to be arraigned, is charged with possession of meth.

The case remains under investigation.

The Delta County Sheriff’s Office and Delta County Prosecutor’s Office assisted Public Safety.
