Forest County Sheriff's Office

FOREST COUNTY, WI— Two Wisconsin residents are jailed in Forest County, Wisconsin, after police found drugs in their hotel room.

Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a hotel on January 2nd just after midnight on a report a man and a woman were fighting. They encountered Thomas Owens, 29, of Fond Du Lac and Amanda West, 21, of Oshkosh.

While speaking to the two, deputies saw drugs on top of the bed. A search of the room uncovered fentanyl, meth, and drug paraphernalia. Officers also searched their vehicle and found several drugs, scales, packing materials, and a firearm with the serial number removed.

The Oshkosh Police Department executed a search warrant at the couple’s home and discovered fentanyl, meth, and a large amount of ammunition.

Owens and West have been referred to the Forest County District Attorney on a number of drug-related charges.

Owens remains lodged on a $25,000 cash bond and West on a $10,000 cash bond.
