Quinnesec man arrested for child sexually abusive activity

QUINNESEC, MI— A Dickinson County man has been arrested on charges related to child pornography.

The Michigan State Police Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force says Brandon Lake, 28, of Quinnesec was arraigned Tuesday. He’s charged with five counts of aggravated child sexually abusive activity and five counts of using a computer to commit a crime.

An investigation into Lake was launched when officials learned he was viewing files of child sexually abusive material online. Digital evidence was seized from his residence.

Lake faces up to 45 years in prison if convicted as charged.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
