Florence man facing felonies for molesting young girls

FLORENCE, WI— A preliminary hearing has been set for a Florence, Wisconsin man charged with sexually assaulting young girls.

James Dagostino, 60, is accused of molesting a relative between 1998 and 2005, when she was 15 to 21 years old. He’s also accused of assaulting a 4th grade girl in 2019.

Dagostino is charged with two counts of second-degree assault of a child, two counts of child enticement-sexual contact, and one charge of incest with a child.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 25th in Florence County Circuit Court.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
