Ishpeming road rage incident leads to stabbing

ISHPEMING, MI— An Ishpeming man is jailed, after he allegedly stabbed another driver in a road rage incident.

Thursday around 3 a.m., the Ishpeming Police Department was called to the area of Division and Main Streets. Police say an out-of-state man was chased down by a vehicle containing three people. The victim was confronted and stabbed.

A 29-year-old Ishpeming man was still at the scene when officers arrived. He was arrested and lodged at the Marquette County Jail.

The Marquette County Prosecutor’s Office is pursuing charges of assault with intent to do great bodily harm and felonious assault.

No names have been released at this time.
