Negaunee man facing charges linked to delivery of fentanyl

WAUSAUKEE, WI— A Negaunee man has been arrested on drug-related charges, following a traffic stop in Wisconsin earlier this month.

On September 3rd, deputies from the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle driven by Jamie Corkin, 31, in the town of Wausaukee.

More than 200 fentanyl pills and drug paraphernalia were recovered during the incident.

Corkin was arrested Thursday and charged with possession with:

  • intent to deliver fentanyl, 10-50 grams—second or subsequent offense
  • possession of a controlled substance, repeater
  • possession of drug paraphernalia, repeater
  • misdemeanor bail jumping, repeater

Corkin makes his initial court appearance on Tuesday.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
