Florence County Sheriff's Office nabs Aurora residents on drug, firearms charges

AURORA, WI— Two Florence County residents have been arrested on drug charges.

Sunday around 2 a.m., deputies from the Florence County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a residence in Aurora. Officers seized 41 grams of meth, 1.7 grams of fentanyl, 1.1 grams of crack cocaine and two firearms.

Arrested were Cody Freeman, 24, and Ronnee Pietrantonio, 76.

Deputies were assisted by the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office.

Florence County Sheriff Teresa Chrisman says this type of arrest is the result of K-9 work and collaboration with local law enforcement agencies and drug task forces.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
