Police investigate Houghton County break-in, theft

TWIN LAKES, MI— The Houghton County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a suspect in the break-in of a home in Twin Lakes.

Officers say it happened within the past two weeks at a residence on Crescent Beach Road. The suspect or suspects got in through a window.

Once inside, they took a Winchester long rifle with scope, alcohol, and several one-ounce gold bars. No one was home when the break-in occurred.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call the Houghton County Sheriff’s Office at 906-482-0055.
