Road rage suspect identified

Schoolcraft County Sheriff's Office

SENEY, MI— A suspect has been arrested in connection with a road rage incident near Seney on Monday.

It happened around 6 p.m. on M-28. Michigan State Police from the Gladstone Post asked those who may have witnessed the incident to call troopers with information they had. The suspect vehicle was believed to be an orange Hyundai SUV.

With information they received, troopers were able to develop a suspect—Harley Locklear, 27, of Gwinn. He was accused of shooting at another vehicle with a pistol during the incident.

Locklear was arrested Wednesday and arraigned Thursday on charges of discharging a firearm from a vehicle, carrying a concealed weapon, felonious assault, and felony firearms.

He remains lodged in the Schoolcraft County Jail on a $10,000 bond.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
