MSP nabs Marquette man for chatting with minors on the internet

MARQUETTE, MI— A Marquette man has been arrested by the Michigan State Police Computer Crimes Unit for accosting a child for immoral purposes.

The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received a tip from the East Haven Police Department in Connecticut that Trevor Flynn, 41, was chatting with minors on the internet. A search of his residence resulted in the seizure of digital evidence.

Flynn was arraigned Monday on one count of accosting a child for immoral purposes and one count of using a computer to commit a crime.

A preliminary exam is set for March 28th in Marquette District Court.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
