Arrest made in 2023 Marinette County pedestrian death

MARINETTE, WI— A Marinette woman has been arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash on the Interstate Bridge last summer.

On July 15th, David Fournier, 48, was a pedestrian on the bridge when he was hit by a vehicle and killed.

Alexis Clark, 25, has been charged with hit and run-resulting in death and homicide by vehicle-use of controlled substance. A preliminary hearing and arraignment are set for March 28th in Marinette County Circuit Court.

Assisting the Marinette Police Department in the investigation were the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office, Menominee Police Department, Marinette County District Attorney’s Office, Milwaukee Crime Lab, Marinette Fire Department, Wisconsin Department of Transportation, and the Marinette County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
