Victim in Hancock assault released from UPHS-Portage, suspect still hospitalized

HANCOCK, MI— One person involved in a violent domestic incident Saturday in Hancock has been released from the hospital.

Hancock Police say the victim of the assault on the 300 block of Hancock Street was released from UPHS-Portage after receiving treatment.

The suspect in the altercation was transferred to another facility and remain hospitalized. A felony warrant for their arrest will be executed once they are released.

No other details about the incident are available at this time.

Police continue their investigation into the assault.
