Kingsford duo nabbed on meth, fentanyl charges

MARINETTE, WI— Two Kingsford residents have been arrested in Marinette County on various drug charges.

Due to an investigation involving the Northeast Tri-County Drug Enforcement Group-Marinette/Florence and the Michigan KIND Team, a traffic stop was conducted Monday in Pound. Police discovered 31 grams of meth and 10.2 grams of purple fentanyl in the vehicle.

Arrested were Michael Richtig, 40, and Casey Secrist, 42, of Kingsford. Both are charged with possession with intent to deliver meth-repeater, possession with intent to deliver fentanyl-repeater, possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a drug trafficking place.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
