MARINETTE, WI— The death of a 3-year-old child in Marinette last year was not an accident.
That’s according to the Marinette Police Department. Officers say the death was reported June 15th as an accidental fall down a flight of stairs, but further investigation indicated it was non-accidental.
Samantha Wishman, 32, has been arrested and charged with first-degree reckless homicide and neglecting a child-consequence is death.
Assisting in the investigation were the Marinette County Medical Examiner’s Office, the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Forensic Sciences State Crime Lab in Madison, and the Marinette County District Attorney’s Office.
