Child sex sting nets two in Wisconsin

MARINETTE, WI— Two men were arrested during a recent child exploitation sex sting in Marinette.

City Police worked with several different agencies to conduct the operation. Two suspects—a 27-year-old man and 31-year-old man—were taken into custody as a result.

Both are charged with use of a computer to facilitate a child sex crime and child enticement. The charges carry a maximum penalty of up to 65 years in prison.

Assisting the Marinette Police Department in the operation were the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office, Niagara Police Department, Marinette County District Attorney’s Office, and Genesee County Sheriff’s Office.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
