CSC charge leveled against former Ishpeming officer

ISHPEMING, MI— A former Ishpeming Police officer has been charged with criminal sexual conduct.

WLUC-TV reports Travis Hardwicke, 28, was arraigned May 8^th for felony 3^rd degree criminal sexual conduct-force or coercion and a misdemeanor count of selling/furnishing alcohol to a minor.

Hardwicke was placed on administrative leave when officials learned of the allegations against him. Ishpeming Police Chief Chad Radabaugh contacted detectives with the Michigan State Police. Hardwicke was fired following their investigation.

A probable cause conference is set for May 23^rd and a preliminary exam for June 12^th in Marquette County District Court.
