Man indicted for sexual exploitation of Marquette County teen

MARQUETTE, MI— A Virginia man has been charged in federal court with sexually exploiting a Marquette County minor in 2012.

Erich Zeeb, 49, of Roanoke has been indicted on three counts of sexual exploitation of a child. It’s alleged that in July of 2012, Zeeb “employed, used, persuaded, induced, enticed, and coerced” a 15-year-old girl to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing videos of her.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District is asking anyone with information about this matter or related criminal acts committed by Zeeb to contact the Marquette Branch Office at 906-226-2500.

Zeeb previously lived in Houston, Texas, and Colorado Springs, Colorado. He may have communicated using the following email addresses:

Zeeb may also have communicated via social media, including Instagram and Facebook, and dating apps, including WhosHere, Plenty of Fish, and Tinder.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
