Kinross gas station robbed, MSP asking for assistance

KINROSS, MI— Michigan State Police are seeking help with their investigation into the robbery of a Chippewa County gas station.

Troopers from the Sault Ste. Marie Post say Tuesday around 3:20 a.m., an alarm sounded at the Kinross EZ Mart gas station on Highway M-80. Someone had broken into the station and taken items from the store. The suspect fled the scene before police arrived and has not yet been located or identified.

Surveillance camera footage captured a suspect on camera attempting to conceal their face.

Anyone with information regarding the break-in is asked to call the Soo Post at 906-632-2217. If calling after business hours, contact the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office at 906-495-3312.
