Police looking to speak with driver of truck that damaged Hancock park

City of Hancock Police Department

HANCOCK, MI— The City of Hancock and Hancock Police Department say they’ve identified the driver of a truck that damaged a city park Friday.

At approximately 10:40 p.m., a white truck drove over the grass and onto the boardwalk at Porvoo Park. When the driver tried to turn around, the truck broke boards on the boardwalk and damaged a railing.

City Police put a photo of the truck on Facebook and received tips regarding the driver’s name. While they know who the driver is, police say the subject has yet to turn himself in.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
