SAULT STE. MARIE, MI— A Sault Ste. Marie man has been arrested on charges connected to child pornography.
The Michigan State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force says Jacob Dumas, 21, was arrested for aggravated child sexually abusive activity, possession of child sexually abusive material, and using a computer to commit a crime.
An investigation was initiated when police learned Dumas was viewing files of sexually abusive material on the internet. They seized digital evidence after a search of his home.
Dumas was arraigned July 2nd on 4 counts of aggravated child sexually abusive activity, 6 counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material, and 2 counts of using a computer to commit a crime.
He faces up to 55 years in prison if convicted as charged.
