MANISTIQUE, MI— A Wisconsin man was arrested in Schoolcraft County earlier this month on felony drug offenses.
On the evening of July 12, Michigan State Police from the Manistique Outpost conducted a traffic stop on US-2 near Inland Quarry Road for a traffic violation. Subsequent investigation determined that the driver, Daniel Likness, 38, of Thiensville, Wisconsin, was under the influence.
Troopers also determined Likness had a large amount of illegal drugs in his possession, including about 2.5 pounds of suspected methamphetamine.
Likness was arrested for operating while intoxicated and possession of illegal narcotics. He was lodged at the Schoolcraft County Jail and later arraigned in 93rd District Court.
