Negaunee man arrested for aggravated distribution of child pornography

NEGAUNEE, MI— A Negaunee man faces 18 felony charges related to child pornography.

John Fitzgerald Anderson, 22, was arrested and charged with 9 counts of aggravated distribution of child sexually abusive activity and 9 counts of using a computer to commit a crime.

An investigation was launched by the Michigan State Police Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force when officials learned Anderson was viewing child pornography online. A search of his residence resulted in the seizure of digital evidence.

Anderson was arraigned August 21 in 96th District Court.
